The Yonkers Raceway/Empire State Casino is only 20 min from my house (14 miles from Times Square) and I never did or ever will, go there! The good news is that MGM in CA has purchased it for $850 million and is not saying what it's doing with the property till January's closing.I pray that it has nothing to do with horse racing or gambling, for that matter. Yes, sadly, my friend ozok.I am well aware. NYT Quote: "There's nothing worse for the inside or outside of a horse than life on the track." U.S.News. My husband gifted me the Jeep GC LTD on our 30th Wedding Anniversary.total surprise! He wanted me to have an all-terrain vehicle, with all the bells & whistles 10CD changer, sunroof, leather interior, dual air-control, heated seats, steel plate under the truck for Appalachian Trail camping, V8 engine, great on mileage, etc.He knew I had a passion for trucks, particularly the Jeep GC LTD.of course he didn't bank that I would "actually open it up and enjoy that power", he was suspicious that I would.and Yikes I did! "Rocky" is on her 2nd engine (by 2009 I'd clocked 287,000 miles-on the second,150,000 miles thus far, I still use it for work/fun/travel). ![]() Actually FounDit, it wasn't such a stupid question.and I always enjoy your threads & posts. But with busy lives, and vehicles, we don't ride like we used to in the old days. Both of those problems come from not taking them out enough and separating them often enough, I think. The do sometimes bond with another horse and don't want to be separated from them. I had to make her walk away from the house, but if I ever turned back in that direction, she wanted to take off running to get back. I used to have a horse that I called "home-bound" because she never wanted to leave either.
